About Don

Don Ritenour is the Founder and Head Chef at YoFresh, the premier prepared meal delivery service in the Valley. The concept for YoFresh started when Don started making prepared meals for his wife Caroline and posted on Facebook to see who else wanted in on the meal prep.

Don is a local guy who grew up in Boardman. He is self-taught; his experience has been gathered by doing almost every job in the kitchen as he worked his way through the local culinary world; primarily in high-end restaurants and country clubs. He lives in the area with his wife Caroline, who is also a co-founder of YoFresh.

About Caroline

Caroline handles most of the day-to-day operations behind the scenes at YoFresh.

Caroline also owns and teaches All Abilities Swim (now part of Superfish Swim School) which provides instruction to individuals who learn differently (special needs) or have water trauma/anxiety.  Her company hosts sensory-friendly family-swims and developed a national award-winning learn-to-swim program with the Down Syndrome Association of the Valley.

Caroline is a serial entrepreneur.  Caroline’s earliest memory of entrepreneur life involved dreams up of a dishwashing service where her dog would lick plates clean so others didn’t have to do dishes (she was 5)! She also led a school-wide crusade in the third grade for better school lunches and launched her first business at age 10 when she typed up labels for the teachers at her middle school (before everyone had computers!).   She taught swim lessons to others starting at age 15 and also taught piano lessons while in High School. In 2008 she moved home to Salem and founded the Piranha Aquatics Swim Club and the Salem HS Swim team, where she was head coach for 10 years.

Outside of YoFresh, she is involved with Caring for Birthmothers, The Leetonia High School Mentor Program for Sophomores, The Columbiana County Women’s Empowerment Retreat, and is a 2017 ASCA Fellow.  In her spare time she participates in master’s swimming, yoga, rollerblades, reads over 100 books each year and plays piano.
